davisl (Student) Looked at both before I chose AUA. Sint Eustatius (SEUCOM) has noticeably smaller class sizes which some people really value. AUA has a longer track record with US clinical sites though and that mattered more to me.
sakuranelson (Alumni) Same experience as davisl (Student) here. I chose AUA and I don't regret it but I'll say this. If you want smaller classes and don't mind the extra isolation Sint Eustatius is worth a serious look Don't dismiss it just because fewer people have heard of it.
shirleym (Student) The harder question isn't which school looks better on paper but which one you'll actually survive. I know people who thrived at SEUCOM because the smaller environment suited them. Know yourself before you pick.
torresa (Student) experienced different than shirleym (Student) Published match data for AUA is out there if you look for it. For SEUCOM I had a harder time finding solid recent numbers which made me nervous. I want to see where graduates are landing before I commit that much money.
nelsons (Student) Same experience as shirleym (Student) here. Tuition at both is in a similar range. The deciding factor for me was the clinical site network. AUA's New York presence is more established from everything I found during research
meibello (Student) Not entirely with shirleym (Student) on this one. Sint Eustatius is a tiny island, even smaller than Antigua. That has tradeoffs both ways. Less distraction and more focus for some people. Too isolated for others
nancyk (Alumni) AUA has been around longer and has more alumni you can actually reach out to. When I was deciding I messaged five AUA alumni on LinkedIn and three replied within a week. That kind of network matters when you're trying to understand what you're really signing up for.
jnelson (Alumni) Both schools are CAAM-HP accredited and ECFMG eligible from what I know. Don't let anyone tell you one is automatically more legitimate than the other. Do your own homework on both.
