escobarr (Alumni) The campus itself has improved noticeably over the last several years. New simulation lab, renovated lecture halls, better library resources. It's a real institution with functioning infrastructure.
rosa.brown (Student) Different experience than escobarr (Alumni) though. Sint Maarten is actually pretty lively compared to some other Caribbean medical school locations. There's a functioning town, restaurants, beaches. Quality of life outside school is decent.
pchristie (Alumni) AUC's clinical rotation network in the US is solid. They have established affiliations in several states which matters when you're trying to compete in the match later.
davisk (Alumni) to what pchristie (Alumni) said above. The administrative side has had some bumps from what I've heard. Communication can lag and things like financial aid processing take longer than they should.
avery.bailey (Student) Academically the curriculum is comparable to what you'd find at other Caribbean schools in the same tier. Faculty quality is generally good especially in basic science departments.
torresc (Alumni) It's developed enough to give you a real medical education. Whether that's enough depends on what you're comparing it to and what you expect going in.
