How possible 3rd year student to do all his rotations in one hospital?

It happens for some students but it's not the norm. AUA places you based on site availability and your timing, not just your preference. You'd have to get lucky with scheduling and have a site that covers all the required rotations.

Adding to trevons (Alumni) point. I did four of my core rotations at the same hospital. Not all six but four. The advantage was that the attendings and residents started to recognize me which made a real difference for evaluations and letters.

Same experience as trevons (Alumni) here. the benefit of staying in one place is continuity. You build relationships, you learn the EMR system once, you know where everything is. That stuff matters more than people realize for actually learning during rotations

Practically speaking a single hospital doing all required rotations has to have a robust ob-gyn service, a psych unit, a surgery program, pediatrics, and a full medicine service. That narrows the list of sites where it's even possible.

My clinical coordinator told me that concentrating rotations at one site can actually strengthen your residency application if the attendings know you well enough to write specific LORs. It's worth asking about if you have a preferred site.

I wouldn't stress too much about trying to engineer it. Focus on finding strong sites for each rotation rather than optimizing for geography. A great surgery rotation somewhere else is worth more than a mediocre one down the road.

It's logistically easier than people think in terms of paperwork. The harder part is that site availability by rotation type doesn't always line up in the same place at the same time.
