angela_bishop (Student) These two schools are in different leagues in terms of accreditation history and documented outcomes. MUA Nevis is further along the track of established accreditation. CAHSU is newer and documentation is sparser.
shanicekhan (Student) I looked at both when I was deciding. MUA's ECFMG eligibility is confirmed. For CAHSU I had a harder time getting clear answers on that, which was enough to steer me away.
miagreen (Student) Same experience as shanicekhan (Student) here. If cost is the primary driver CAHSU may look attractive. But graduating from a school whose ECFMG status is unclear can affect your ability to sit for usmle which affects everything downstream.
anikachang (Student) Echoing what miagreen (Student) said above. Talk to current students at both schools, not just admissions reps. The honest accounts from people already in the program are worth more than any information session.
anisha_drake (Student) What miagreen (Student) said is pretty much where I landed too. My bias is toward MUA based on what I researched but i will acknowledge i didn't visit either school. if you're serious about CAHSU an in-person visit before a final call might be worth the trip.
loganb (Student) anikachang (Student) covered the main points well. MUA's match data for the last three years is findable if you go looking. CAHSU's is much harder to find in any systematic way. When a school can't show you where their graduates ended up that tells you something.
