Bio is so broad and I feel like I'm spreading myself thin. If you had to pick the bio topics that ACTUALLY show up again and again in med school, what would they be? Trying to study deep instead of wide.

emmabrooks443 (Student) a Cell biology, hands down, is the foundation everything else stacks on. Membranes, organelles, signaling. Then physiology, then genetics. If those three are solid you're in great shape walking in. Microbiology and immuno you'll get hammered with in med school anyway but a head start never hurts. Molecular bio ties it all together at the end.

Genetics genetics genetics. Modern medicine is drowning in it. Mendelian basics, sure, but also gene expression and mutations. So much pathology traces back to a genetic mechanism.

Physiology is king imo. It's the bridge between "what is this structure" and "what happens when it breaks." Master normal function and abnormal makes sense.
