this is exactly what i need right now. im a science grad trying to decide between applying for the 4 year GEP at TCD or just doing the 5 year at another college. the time difference seems small but a whole extra year of fees and living costs is not nothing. would love to hear from people who did both routes

seandouglas1138 (Student) Did the 5 year undergrad route, just finished third year. the first two years are very science heavy, like a lot of biochemistry anatomy physiology. it's a grind but you go in younger and sort of grow up through it with your class. the social side of it is really strong because youre all figuring out college life together at the same time

i came in through the GEP after a degree in physiology. the pace is honestly intense from week one, they kind of assume you can handle the volume because youre a graduate. but what i really appreciated was that my classmates were all mature, like everyone was focused and knew why they were there. no messing around, which suited me after my undergrad

that focus thing is what im drawn to about GEP honestly. i did a full undergrad already and the idea of sitting through first year college social dynamics again sounds exhausting. but is the workload actually manageable or do people burn out? four years sounds tight to fit everything in
