CalebHughes (Alumni) honestly the biggest differentiator is not raw knowledge, it is intellectual honesty combined with hunger to learn. Say what you know, say what you don't know clearly, and show me you actually want to understand why. The residents who say "I'm not sure but here's my reasoning and I'll look it up" are far more impressive than the ones who guess confidently and turn out to be wrong. Also basic things like being present, prepared, and professional. These seem obvious but you would be surprised how often they differentiate people.
